Gestational Carrier and Surrogacy
Gestational Carrier and Surrogacy
Turning Dreams into Reality.
A surrogacy arrangement involves a third-party female carrying a pregnancy for intended parent(s). A surrogate, or traditional surrogate, refers to a woman who shares a genetic link to the child.
A gestational surrogate also known as gestational carrier is a woman who carries and delivers a child for another couple or individual (the intended parents). She does not have any biological connection to the child.
A gestational carrier may be needed when:
- An intended parent is infertile because of a problem with their uterus.
- An intended parent cannot be pregnant or give birth due to serious medical or psychological condition that place them or the foetus at risk.
- A person has had a hysterectomy or has a uterine malformation.
- The intended parent is biologically incapable of conceiving or bearing a child, such single person or gay male couple.
- If you need surrogacy contact Reprolab to discuss the process and costs of treatment (artificial insemination or in vitro fertilization). Reprolab helps match you with a gestational carrier and helps establish legal agreements (contracts) between the intended parents and the carrier.

Find answers to your most pressing questions about In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) – empowering you with knowledge and clarity on your path to parenthood.
In-vitro fertilization (IVF) is a set of advanced fertility treatments and techniques that culminate in joining a woman’s egg and a man’s sperm outside the body in a laboratory dish. Once fertilized, the egg is cultured and transferred into a prepared uterus to attempt a pregnancy. Excess embryos are frozen and stored for future use.
IVF is generally considered very safe and those who went through experienced no problems with their health or pregnancy. However, as with any other medical procedure, there are some risks to be aware of, which include: ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (a severe reaction to fertility drugs). Strict follow ups including blood tests and scans are essentials to avoid such. We encourage you to speak to your Dr regarding any concerns.
Majority of our patients concieve within the first to third attempt.
Starting the IVF process at ReproLab involves several important steps: Initial consultation, fertility assessment, discussing and explaining treatment plans, hormonal injections, scans, blood tests, egg
